Our Achievements
We have been able to:
- Secure office space at 68 Bai Bureh Road Freetown
- Renew registration with the Ministry of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs
- Set up and operate eight girls’ networks in eight slum communities in Western Area Rural and Urban
- Reach 200 adolescent and young women aged 13–35years
- support 37 young women and girls who dropped out of school due to teenage pregnancy other reasons to pursue technical/ tertiary education and small business opportunities Some of these young women are now serving the organization as volunteers, club leaders and champions of change in their communities,
- Conduct participatory research on girl’s views and attitudes towards female genital mutilation in Freetown.
- Conducted a four years audit of our financial books 2015 -2018
- We are developing a four-year strategic plan which will focus on 3 thematic areas of Capacity building, Economic Empowerment and Sexual reproductive health and Rights
